It was the Year 2007. I was happy working in my dream company. I took pride in myself when I cracked one of the toughest selection processes they had in the JOB market. Being from an Agricultural background, I was the first person in my family to get a job, that too in an International Organization, everyone back home was very happy and obviously I was talk of the village.
It was chilling weather outside during November and as usual I reached the office around 10.30 am. I was about to go to cafeteria to bring hot beverage to warm me up and an email from previous day grabbed my attention. I was so happy to see the message from the Site Head congratulating me on completing 6 months. Gratefully I walked towards cafeteria and my manager called me for a quick meeting.

Both of us were in meeting room and butterflies all around my stomach imagining what my manager could say. I was expecting salary hike, promotion 😉 (I was so dumb). Manager told me, “You are a good performer and a hard worker. You will be an asset to any company. Due to the merger and org restructure ----- blah blah blah”.
I could feel the sweat dripping down my neck in the A/C room and could barely breathe while my Manager told me YOU ARE FIRED😒. I was totally devastated and literally hold the tears to drop.
My dreams were totally shattered, I had few pence left in my pocket and didn’t know what to do next. I don’t wanted to go back to village or ask money from my family.

Somehow, I survived for 2 months without a job but barely took my career seriously. During this struggling time I met my mentor and my whole perspective about life and career changed completely. Rest is the history!!!
Looking back over a decade now,
I was always trying to prove to others but got results only when I started to prove to Myself
I never took my career seriously until it hit me hard and understood from my mentor that there are systematic ways (Blueprint) to excel in your career. People will fail but system will never fail 😊
Pay yourself first if you want to succeed i.e. invest in yourself persistently
All of us see that Safe Locker (career, love, money, relationship, business etc) in front of us but most of us do not look for the combination or after getting the combination try it in wrong order
